Center OF Hope

Before/After Each Mass

The Women’s Group has chosen

The Center of Hope as a church community outreach project.

The Center is a refuge providing advocacy, therapeutic counseling and residential services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking and human trafficking.

It is located in Columbia and has served clients in Maury, Giles, Lawrence and Wayne for 35 years.

The center aids an average of 700-800 clients annually. We have met with the admins and ascertained their greatest need which is toiletries. WGON plans a twice yearly collection in April and October. On the weekends of April 26/27 and May 3/4, a collection box for the requested toiletries will be in the Narthex.

Please help support the Center of Hope.

You’re Invited! To Pull the Weeds to Grow the Seeds!

Saturday, May 10th from 8:45am - 1:00pm

Our prayer is that you read this as an invitation from God!

This service day is about building our rosary walk gardens one step at a time, loving the gifts the Lord has given and taking time to prepare the ground for beautiful faith to grow. You may even hear His gentle whisper, His unique message for you! We have three different days available: 5/10, 9/13 and 10/11. Sign up for one or all three. If the sign up is full we would love you to still attend so contact Carrie Pfieffer cdpfieffer@yahoo.com

The service hours will incorporate prayer and work, a mix of physical and spiritual activities: Morning Mass will settle our hearts, stepping outdoors to work in the gardens of the Rosary Walk, a short group discussion, and conclude with praying the rosary. The gardening service day is meant to be familiar with experiencing God in nature.
