Dear Friends in Christ,
Our life experiences, the life experiences of others, those of the world and Church history, and in the Sacred Scriptures, give convincing evidence that those who live on the promises of God’s Divine Revelation in faith, hope, and love, receive greater life and give greater life to others. This is an important truth for our Church and our parish’s life. The Lord established the Church to give us eternal life beginning in this life.
God’s Divine Revelation gives us a vision of the future, and promise that those who live and act on the Lord’s promises and visions will have a richer life in this life and in eternity. What would happen in the Parish of the Nativity if more of our spiritual family members began to act without fear and with courage in living by the Lord’s words and promises? The Book of Wisdom tells us the Israelites acted with courage in making the Passover under Moses in light of the Lord’s promises. The Scriptures are filled with the Lord’s promises to us. The Lord Jesus wants us to act on His promises to us purchased for us by His blood. That takes courage and overcoming fear to live our faith. |
